Google opens Voice accounts

Google Voice aka free domestic calling

That was not erratum. I typed out a true statement. With a Google Voice account you are privileged to free domestic calling in the United States. So what does that mean exactly, how can it possibly be free? Well there has been long term speculation that Google is big on keeping statistics that are personal to each of it’s users when they do search. So you may again speculate and say that your free domestic calling is in exchange for all of your phone calls to be recorded in High Definition and to remain handy on Google’s files to do whatever with, and whatever holds many possibility.

On July 18th 2009 a excerpt from Google Voice’s Privacy Policy:

“We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the Google Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.”

Now I’m not saying that Google is evil and will use your voice in high definition against you. I myself have a Google Voice account open at this time. I am stating that it is not free in all aspects and that it is of dire importance in our information age to read the contracts that you so happily click through on your way to free domestic calling and otherwise.

I like Google so far. They have not done anything rash that I am aware of. They do restrict search results in some Countries like China, but I understand why they do that. If I were Google I would adhere to the Chinese regulations otherwise I would be as if Google was penetrating Chinese regulations and it’s just not worth doing in my opinion, but the Chinese are good hackers so I’m sure the hackers who want a good Google search know how to do so and as for the rest of the restricted, let us pray for their oppressive regulations they are under to be removed.

I’m really hoping that Google pulls through in the end and puts up a front against the disalusioned, currupt and may I even say evil power struct that we have let posin us all this time, but there is a chance that they have already sold out as it is very hard to be with the big dogs and not eventually become one yourself, so maybe that high definition recording really will be used against you, but let’s pray that it wont be.

I have a Google Voice account. They finally accepted me.

Google Voice offers all the features seen here, but one key thing…

Google Voice does NOT provide free service.

You can not make calls on a cell phone through Google Voice. Your phone must have service prior to registering it to a Google Number.

    That’s a good point.

I have many questions as to the mechanics of Google Voice.

From http://voice.google.com/, after you already have a Google Voice account, you can send SMS text messages for free, but I don’t remember if during registration Google Voice validates a preexisting phone number.
